Microsoft Teams Live Events

With the Coronavirus still wreaking havoc in countries around the world, events are still not allowed to take place. But with Microsoft Teams Live Events, companies and brands can now host live virtual events with up to 100,000 people, allowing them to broadcast these online events both internally or publicly.

Microsoft Teams Live Events is ideal for webinars, product demos, corporate presentations and remote conferences. It also offers the chance for live Q&A’s, post-event video downloads, attendee engagement reports, transcripts, live subtitles and translations.

Even though every team member will be on a different device, Microsoft Teams Live Events enables seamless coordination and engaging events at any time, from anywhere in the world.

When creating a Microsoft Team Live Event, members can be assigned as producers and presenters by the organiser.

The organiser of the event is tasked with creating and scheduling the event. The organiser will also set attendee permissions, select production methods, configures event options, invites attendees, selects event group members and manages the reports generated after the event has taken place.

The producer is the host and therefore, must ensure that the attendees have a good viewing experience by controlling the live streaming of the event. The producer is responsible for starting and stopping the live event, sharing their own video and the videos of the participants, sharing active desktops or windows and selecting the layouts.

The presenter presents audio, video or a screen to the live event and oversees the Q&A’s.

Microsoft Teams Live Events is predicted to replace Skype Meeting Broadcasts eventually. This is because Microsoft Teams Live Events offers more flexibility as they can be scheduled from the Teams Desktop or web app. These live events are a great way to connect to your workforce and customers, especially during the current pandemic.
